Privacy Policy
Last updated July 3, 2026
This policy explains what NOMMMZ LLC ("NOMMMZ", "we") collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the app needs to match food to your taste, we do not sell your data, and we do not show third-party ads.
1. What we collect
Account: email address, display name, username, and a password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form — we never see it).
Taste profile: the flavor preferences you set in onboarding and adjust later, plus optional dietary preferences (such as vegan, halal, or kosher) and food allergies you choose to tell us about.
Activity: dishes you view, save, skip, rate, and check in to, notes and photos you attach, and your friend connections in the app. If Taste Learning is on, this activity gently adjusts your match results.
Location: an approximate home location you set during onboarding (used to show nearby restaurants), and, if you grant OS permission, your device location while using the app. Location events used for features like MMMeet are deleted automatically within 30 days.
Device: a push notification token if you enable notifications, and basic crash/diagnostic reports so we can fix bugs.
2. Allergy and dietary information is sensitive
Allergies and dietary needs you enter are health-related. We treat them as sensitive: they are used only to filter and warn about dishes for you, they are never sold, shared with restaurants, advertisers, or other users, and you can remove them at any time in the app. Providing them is optional — the app works without them.
3. How we use your data
To run the service: matching dishes to your taste, showing nearby spots, syncing your saves and friends, sending notifications you have enabled, and keeping the service safe (rate limiting, abuse prevention).
We do NOT sell your personal information, share it with data brokers, or use it for third-party advertising. Restaurant owners see aggregate statistics (like save counts) — never your identity, allergies, or profile.
4. Notifications and marketing
Promotional pushes from restaurants (for example, a flash deal from a place you saved) are OFF by default and only sent if you turn on "Deals from places you've saved" in your profile settings. You can turn them off there at any time. Service notifications (like friend requests) follow your OS notification settings.
5. Who we share data with
Service providers who process data for us: Supabase (database, authentication, and file hosting), Expo (app infrastructure and push notification delivery), and Sentry (crash reporting). They process your data only to provide their service to us.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public. If NOMMMZ is acquired or merged, your data may transfer with the service — this policy would continue to apply to it.
6. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account); this permanently erases your profile, taste data, allergies, saves, ratings, photos, and friendships. Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 14 days before being purged. Location events are deleted automatically within 30 days regardless.
7. Your choices
In the app you can: delete your account entirely; clear your saves and ratings; turn Taste Learning off or reset what it has learned; remove allergies and dietary preferences; and opt in or out of promotional pushes. You can also revoke location, camera, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings at any time.
8. Children
NOMMMZ is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Nevada residents
Nevada law (NRS 603A) gives Nevada consumers the right to opt out of the sale of certain personal information. NOMMMZ does not sell personal information as defined by that law, and we treat health-related information (like allergies) with the additional care described in section 2. To exercise any privacy right, or if you have questions, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a material way, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
